St.  Anne's Catholic Church

The original St. Anne's catholic church in Wilcox, shown above, burnt to the ground on October 8, 1949.  The congregation of 200 families had a difficult time raising the $45,000 needed to re-build the current church at the same location.

The church pictured above was constructed in 1889 under the direction of Pastor Rev. George Winkler At that time, the parish included 25 families and about 125 active persons.
