Upcoming Summer Events: Activities at the Wilcox Ballpark
A 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be held on August 8th beginning at
9am. Age groups are 4th-6th grade, 7th to 9th grade, 10th to
12th grade, and Old Timers. Cost is $30/team which includes
t-shirts. Registration forms are due by July 23rd.
A 4-on-4 Dodgeball
tournament will be held on August 15th beginning at 9am. Age
groups are 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old, 13-15 years old, and 16 and
over. All teams must have one female. Cost is $30/team
which includes t-shirts. Registration forms are due by July
26th. For more information call Jenna at 594-6060. The
concession stand will be open during both activities.
Summer
Of Adventures
is
in the home stretch now. Open to children kindergarten and up,
the kids have enjoyed many activities this summer including a trip to
Twin Lakes where they enjoyed a ranger program put on by Allegheny
National Forest personnel, picnicing, fishing and swimming.
Weather permitting, a trip to the East Branch Lake and Bendigo is
planned for August 3rd. The Army Corp of Engineers will provide
a water safety program at the Lake and swimming and fishing is
planned for Bendigo. Sign ups for this trip are due by July
30th. The bus will leave the park at 10am and return at 3pm.
